Treacherous Treasure

Frostgrave - Genie in the Bottle
Magi Bayaz and apprentice Jezal once again battle with their nemesis, the Necromancer, whilst treasure hunting in the vast ruins of Felstad. Time again for a spot of Frosty-fodder.

Musket diplomacy

My second play of Muskets and Tomahawks recently in the Battleshed and a chance to get my British Regulars onto the gaming table for the first time.

Dwarf Invasion

Like Ben Nevis recently, my Dwarfy Lead Mountain has just got a bit higher.

The Hammer and Forge Kickstarter order has arrived!

Enemy aircraft carrier below!

A regular walk down the hill to Pate Manor yesterday evening for some more WWII aerial action.

As I stepped into the warm confines of Samshed II it was clear Sam had really upped the Wings of War scenario ante, for on the familiar blue mat he uses for Pacific operations sat a large, top-down view of an aircraft carrier!

They're coming outta the walls!

As some of the Battleshed visitors have commented whilst I suppled so-called background music from my phone, 'You never know what you'll get next!'

And it's pretty much true with this blog I think. Dwarfs followed by 18th century British Regulars to...Aliens. Proper, scary, acid-for-blood type aliens. And cold-blooded Predators. And tooled-up Colonial Marines...

The paths to glory lead but to the grave

My latest troops to march off the paint table this week are 18th century British regulars and, for me, a tentative foray into a more historically documented period.
These Redcoats were purchased after an introduction to the French and Indian Wars by way of a game of Muskets and Tomahawks at the start of this year.

The Fighting Pit

Da da dah! I'm back. I've never really been away though. Just a wee blogging hiatus whilst I concentrated on a number of other interests and commitments that crop up from time to time. The gaming has continued as regular as ever. Just without any commentary.

Since the Prestonpans show I've played SAGA, Sails of Glory, Wings of War and produced a demo of Advanced Songs of Blades and Heroes at my local gaming club. Oh, and moaned a lot about my painting mountain.

Service to resume shortly

My reader may have noted that I've been very quiet on this blog for the last week or so. Rest assured normal service will resume next week with my usual eclectic ramblings. Various other commitments have taken their toll on blogging time recently. It which happens occasionally.

However, I've been keeping up the gaming momentum and even finding the time to apply a bit of paint in between all the other non-gaming stuff vying for my attention . Although production at my paint table has been seriously disrupted.

So, please bear with me. I'll soon have a glut of curiosities from the Battleshed!
