Angry Monks

With the first season of the Dance of Power SAGA campaign on the starting blocks, we've had two late entries from the Irish and the Norman factions, bringing the impending medieval rumble up to ten determined Warlords! A few pre-campaign training manoeuvres has also let me try out one of the new scenarios in the Age of the Wolf campaign supplement - and let loose a mob of Angry Monks!

Ramming Speed with a chariot?!

A welcome return to further play testing of the Faustus Furius chariot racing rules in the Battleshed last night. With a few more rule tweaks and the addition of optional rules providing a race variation with more 'historical context' - or hard-core racing - the chariots were once again put through their paces.

Dance of Power

Over the last couple of weeks I've been busy behind the scenes organising yet another campaign. I've somehow managed to persuade seven fellow players to join me in our very first Age of the Wolf SAGA campaign!

Somebody wake up Hicks!

My second chance to play Alien vs Predator: The Hunt Begins yesterday with the ill-fated Colonial Marines tasked with putting out fires on the dilapidated USCSS Theseus

Behind the scenes

The Diabolist's Scheme

Frostgrave has been inconspicuously worming its way into my gaming schedule over the last few months with a series of one-off games so it was time to stop mucking about and get on with a mini-campaign. After all, that's what Frostyfodder is all about.

Yesterday's Battleshed session saw two rival companies venturing into Felstad's ruined Merchant Quarter, upon rumours of unusual Imp and minor demon activity and reports of strange blue lights emanating from an ancient tower...

A long range bombing behemoth

Back to gaming after a week shut away in a Highland loch-side cabin focusing entirely on my writing project. Cabin fever, a spooky near deserted local village and an Arctic blast of unseasonable weather ensured the word-count was remarkably high, even for me. But that's another story!

Wings of Glory at my gaming club was the first aerodrome of call after my self-inflicted solitary confinement. I was raring to go. And this time I got to play with a huge bomber.
