Dodgy jobs and disgruntled crew

Firefly, the board game, got its first outing over at Livingston Battleground this morning. Thanks to Joanthan, John and Ian for the game. Once we started to get to grips with the rules and the various cards (there are many!) the turns started to gather pace, with Ian quickly accumulating his target cash amount by taking up all the dodgy jobs! There was also some piracy at hand, with John buying off my disgruntled crew

Tanks everywhere!

I dusted off the Flames of War miniatures for a 1750 point refresher game with my brother-in-law, Ironman John.

I fielded a British Parachute company, defending (Reserves, Ambush) with support from air-landing 6pdr and 17pdt AT platoons, a M1A1 75mm pack howitzer platoon, HMG platoon and Sporadic Typhoon air-cover.

John had German tanks. Lots of them! With a little help from his own sporadic air-cover and AA units.

Result: British victory

The Millennium Falcon, Lando Calrissian and A-Wings!

A wee X-Wing tournament at Worlds at War this afternoon. Won one, lost one. I had a rebel fleet comprising the Millennium Falcon, piloted by Lando Calrissian and supported by two A-Wings.

Good, fun games enhanced by the great mats from Gale Force 9. You all know I couldn't leave the shop without a purchase!
